Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Rejesho collects, uses and protects information when you use our platform. Rejesho is a cloud service for microfinance institutions, SACCOs and co-operatives, operated by Kaypee Group Limited, a company registered in Tanzania. We are committed to handling data responsibly and in line with applicable Tanzanian data protection law.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you register your institution and staff (such as names, phone numbers and email addresses), the member and financial records your institution enters (member details, savings, loans, repayments and transactions), and technical information generated when you use the platform (such as log data and device information).

2. How we use information

We use information to provide and secure the service, process transactions and payments, send important service notices, provide support, and improve the platform. We do not sell your data or your members' data.

3. Member data and your role

The records your institution enters about its members are controlled by your institution. Rejesho processes them on your behalf to deliver the service. Your institution is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect member data and for responding to member requests about their information.

4. Sharing

We share information only with service providers that help us run Rejesho (such as hosting, SMS and payment partners), and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law. These providers are bound to protect the information they handle.

5. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect data, including encrypted connections, access controls, tenant isolation so institutions cannot see each other's data, and regular backups. No system is completely secure, so you should also keep credentials and PINs confidential.

6. Data retention

We keep data for as long as your institution has an active account and as needed to meet legal and regulatory obligations. On account closure you can request an export, after which data is deleted within a reasonable period.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. Member requests should be directed to the institution that holds their records, which can act using the tools in the platform.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will give notice of material changes through the platform.
